Job Description

We have exciting news! AEC Solar in West Haven, CT is hiring a full-time Material Handler - Solar Installer to install solar panels and contribute to our clean energy mission

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MATERIAL HANDLER - SOLAR INSTALLER As an entry-level Material Handler - Solar Installer, you get to work out in the fresh air and enjoy the weather while skillfully installing solar panels in commercial locations

You get your blood pumping and put your muscles to good use as you set up job sites, move ladders around, and carry solar panels up to rooftops Attentive to detail, you skillfully assemble racking before installing the panels and blocking diodes

When the job is done, you make sure everything works perfectly before cleaning up your work area, packing up your tools, and heading off to the next site You take pride in doing your part to support clean energy and a greener planet!

QUALIFICATIONS

If you're reliable, cooperative, and willing to take direction, this could be the job for you! To succeed as a Material Handler - Solar Installer, you should have a positive "can-do" attitude and meet the following requirements: Ability to work in high places, such as rooftops and on ladders Ability to lift 50 to 60 pounds and use basic power tools Valid driver's license and reliable transportation While not required, relevant experience in the industry or in a labor role would be greatly preferred

OSHA certification would be a plus We offer on-the-job training so that even entry-level candidates can successfully complete our installations Sound good? Then we want to hear from you!

WORK SCHEDULE

This entry-level solar service position typically works 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with a half-hour lunch Some overtime may be required depending on project needs Our service area covers the entirety of Connecticut , and you may also need to travel to job sites in New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts
