Job Description

Aerotek is hiring for Solar Installers with WEEKLY PAY URGENTLY HIRING | Locals Only $22-$25/HR Job Description This temporary solar laborer position supports the decommissioning and reinstallation of rooftop solar panels on a commercial facility

You will work primarily on flat roofs, assisting with the safe removal and reinstallation of solar panels and related components over a 6-8 week period The role offers consistent full-time hours, hands-on construction experience, and the opportunity to support additional solar projects in other locations if you are open to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with phase 1 decommissioning of rooftop solar panels, including safely removing panels and related components from the roof. Support phase 2 reinstallation of solar panels, ensuring panels are properly placed, secured, and aligned according to project specifications. Work on flat commercial rooftops to perform solar-related tasks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. Follow all site safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots, hard hat, safety goggles, gloves, and high-visibility vest. Handle, lift, and move solar panels, tools, and materials as directed by site leads or supervisors. Assist with basic construction and electrical-related tasks associated with commercial solar installations under appropriate supervision. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored safely when not in use. Work a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, for a total of approximately 40 hours, and reliably arrive on time for all assigned shifts.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding progress, issues, and any safety concerns. Be open to potential travel for additional solar projects in other locations, such as Cumberland, MD and Conshohocken, PA, as needed.

Essential Skills

Comfort working at heights on flat commercial rooftops.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors for extended periods. Basic familiarity with solar, electrical, or construction work in a commercial environment.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment, including steel toe boots, hard hat, safety goggles, gloves, and high-visibility vest. Reliability to work a Monday-Friday schedule with four 10-hour shifts totaling approximately 40 hours per week. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate tasks with the crew.

Additional Skills

& Qualifications Previous experience in commercial solar work is a plus.

  • Experience with rooftop solar installation or decommissioning is highly beneficial. Willingness to travel to additional project sites, including locations such as Cumberland, MD and Conshohocken, PA, if needed. General construction experience on commercial projects is advantageous. Interest in gaining further experience in solar installation and commercial rooftop work. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
