Job Description

Position Summary

EVA Green Power is a leading commercial solar energy installer in California We install roof top systems, ground mount systems, and both carport and shade structures, EV Chargers and Battery Energy Storage Systems

We are passionate about what we do and are looking for talented people who share our passion EVA Green Power is seeking a commercial Certified Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems in both commercial and industrial settings

You will work directly with electrical components, including wiring, inverters, switchboards, ACCP, lighting, and other miscellaneous machines or electronics Some common job duties associated with this role include: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), state, and local regulations Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Troubleshoot electrical issues using testing devices and diagnostic tools Install and maintain panels, breakers, conduits, transformers, and control systems Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance Lead or assist apprentices and ensure adherence to safety procedures Inspecting components, including wiring and electrical products, to ensure they’re safe and within the required code Upgrading existing electrical systems to enhance performance, reduce utility costs and ensure safety Essential Duties and Responsibilities Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues such as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits and equipment failure Experience using tools such as wire strippers, receptacle testers and cable cutters Ability to read blueprints to understand a structure’s electrical setup Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as Journeyman Electricians may troubleshoot and repair issues in the field Attention to detail to make precise, accurate measurements Serves as the principal company representative responsible for onsite operations during construction of all projects

Assures that all materials supplied by any vendor fully comply with project plans, or applicable specifications, applicable laws and permits, utility requirements, and applicable codes, including the National Electric Code

Installs all components of solar projects to include modules, inverters, electrical collection lines, access roadways, carport, lighting etc., in accordance with all applicable documents and agreements

Using various devices, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools Installing or replacing wiring, lighting, electrical controls, breakers, and other electrical devices Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards

Position Requirements Education and Experience High school diploma or GED (required) Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Effective communication, organizational, and people skills, and problem-solving techniques

Travel within California Working knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requirements Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment

Compensation & Benefits

Franklin Energy reasonably expects the starting salary for this position to fall between $42.00 to $45.00 per hour The final offer will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and business needs
