As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for PV installation and electrical troubleshooting for Better Earth Installations. You will utilize your electrical experience to perform any electrical-based tasks required of the PV install. This is to include PV electrical installation, PV circuit troubleshooting, and more as required.
will include: Correcting PV installations how and when necessary Correcting AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) requests for final inspections Generating RMA’s (Return merchandise authorization) for equipment warranty and replacement when necessary Working with the Field Operations team to determine daily service call needs and tasks Troubleshooting any issues as it relates to a PV installation including but not limited to; electrical issues, inverter issues, monitoring issues, communication issues, panel issues, racking issues and other such requests as may be needed from time to time
Back-office monitoring and troubleshooting through monitoring programs and portals Ensuring all workmanship is compliant with current NEC and local codes and in line with company quality standards.
Have at least 2 years of electrical experience Have worked in the solar industry for 2 years Are electrically certified (where applicable) Have a well-rounded skill set in the solar industry Have a comprehensive understanding of a variety of PV systems Able to effectively identity and correct issues with all aspects of a PV installation Are familiar with the current NEC and NFPA codes
