Job Description

Solar Electrician Full-Time | Field-Based About This Role SpartanX is seeking experienced Solar Electricians to support residential solar installation and electrical operations across our active markets

This is a hands-on field role for electrical professionals with solid residential experience who take pride in clean workmanship, safety, efficiency, and getting the job done right the first time

You'll perform residential solar electrical work, troubleshoot field issues, commission systems, and help ensure installations meet NEC, local code, and SpartanX quality standards

We're looking for electricians who know their way around residential electrical systems, can troubleshoot effectively, and are comfortable taking ownership of their work in the field

What You’ll Do Install, wire, troubleshoot, and commission residential solar PV systems Perform electrical work for roof-mounted and ground-mounted solar installations Install conduit, wiring, disconnects, breakers, and other residential electrical components Interpret electrical drawings, site plans, blueprints, one-lines, and system schematics Perform work in accordance with NEC standards, local requirements, and company procedures Troubleshoot system performance issues, inverter faults, and electrical deficiencies Test and verify system functionality and electrical safety Identify field conditions requiring electrical modifications or corrective work Support installation crews onsite and maintain an efficient project workflow Maintain accurate project documentation, photos, and completion records Communicate professionally with homeowners and internal Operations teams Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment What We’re Looking For 2 years of hands-on residential electrical experience preferred Strong understanding of residential electrical systems Proven electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Working knowledge of NEC requirements and safe electrical practices Experience installing conduit, wiring, breakers, disconnects, panels, and related electrical equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, one-lines, and system documentation Solar PV experience strongly preferred Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and outdoors in varying conditions Professional communication and customer interaction skills Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required Ability to safely lift, carry, and move equipment throughout the workday Preferred Qualifications Residential solar installation experience Electrical apprenticeship or formal electrical training OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Battery storage experience Experience with residential service equipment and panel work Schedule Primarily Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday availability required.
