Job Description

Sunrun, America's largest residential solar and battery company, is hiring an Installer in Henderson, NV. This position is central to completing rooftop solar installation projects as a member of a construction crew working under a Foreperson and Lead Installer.

About the Role

You will install solar photovoltaic systems on residential homes, working safely alongside team members to assemble and secure modules, racking, electrical equipment, and structural components according to project specifications. Sunrun operates a vertically integrated model covering sales, installation, inspection, and service, creating pathways for skill development across multiple functions within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain personal, crew, and jobsite safety; identify and report hazards; participate in safety training and new product methodology sessions
  • Inventory materials and equipment at the loading dock to ensure work vehicles are properly stocked
  • Assemble and position solar modules, racking systems, mechanical and structural mounts, and electrical components on rooftops as specified in project plans
  • Apply weather sealing and waterproofing materials to roofing structures and mounting surfaces
  • Clean jobsites and work vehicles to maintain orderly, professional conditions
  • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Meet project deadlines and performance metrics while contributing effectively as a team member

Requirements

  • Previous solar, construction, or military experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to transport materials and equipment up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to work on rooftops of various angles and pitches, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, and balance work
  • Capability to climb ladders safely
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, moisture, and humidity
  • Fine motor skills for manipulation, grasping, and pinching tasks
  • Proficiency with fall protection harnesses, ladders, and other personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work at heights and maintain balance on roofs, rafters, and roof tiles without causing damage
  • Ability to walk on and work safely around roofing materials
  • Capacity to distinguish colors including red, black, yellow, white, and green
  • Capability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces
  • Ability to hear verbal commands and safety warnings
  • Ability to handle chemicals with appropriate protective measures
