Job Description

Enphase Energy seeks a Field Service Technician for a 6-month temporary assignment in Atlanta, GA to provide on-site support for photovoltaic and battery storage systems. This role involves regular field work with distribution and installation partners across a defined territory.

About the Role

You will service Enphase PV and storage systems, perform diagnostics, and coordinate with homeowners and scheduling teams. The position requires up to 50% travel, including out-of-state trips and overnight stays of up to two consecutive weeks. You must possess valid identification acceptable for domestic air travel.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain Enphase photovoltaic and battery storage systems within assigned territory
  • Perform onsite testing, diagnostics, and microinverter maintenance to evaluate system performance and identify issues
  • Update Enlighten monitoring system to reflect all changes and service completions
  • Coordinate site visits between scheduling teams and homeowners; act as liaison between customer support and system owners
  • Complete solar maintenance reports and required documentation accurately and timely
  • Perform regular rooftop and elevated structure work safely
  • Install and route conduit, copper piping, and flexible tubing; pull and manage DC/AC wiring
  • Utilize standard field tools including drills, levels, squares, tape measures, and ladders
  • Review system designs and develop job-specific bills of materials (BOM/BOS)
  • Train and mentor team members on proper installation techniques and best practices
  • Maintain tool inventory and adhere to tool management standards
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and deliver high-level customer service
  • Participate in regular safety training and adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, efficiency, and workmanship standards
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical installation and service
  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record and proof of insurability
  • Commercial or residential electrical license
  • NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) certification
  • Ability to read and interpret plan sets
  • Proficiency with computers and multiple applications; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and quality
  • Knowledge of and commitment to safety and security procedures
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond constructively to feedback
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to manage change, delays, and unexpected challenges
  • Willingness to learn and apply various tools and techniques related to electrical and home improvement work
  • Positive team player with integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work outside regular business hours as needed
  • Regularly lift and move up to 60 pounds of tools and equipment
  • Frequently use hands to handle, grasp, and reach
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, and perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling movements
  • Ascend and descend ladders as required
  • Perform work on rooftops and uneven surfaces at heights and in confined spaces
  • Work in outdoor environments in various weather conditions and withstand exposure to electrical hazards

Benefits

Hourly rate range: $23–$36 per hour, based on experience, skills, and location. Final compensation determined in accordance with applicable laws and internal equity. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
