HVAC Service Technician

Pearce Services seeks an experienced HVAC service technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial cooling systems at telecommunications shelter sites in the San Angelo, Texas region. This role involves field service work with occasional travel and after-hours availability.

About the Role

You will service and repair HVAC equipment installed on cell tower sites throughout a regional territory. The position requires a self-directed approach, technical problem-solving, and reliable communication with dispatchers and clients. This is a fast-paced field role suited for technicians ready to advance within the telecom infrastructure maintenance sector.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and replace components of commercial HVAC systems.
• Conduct performance checks and routine maintenance on cooling equipment.
• Perform upgrades and seasonal maintenance on out-of-service HVAC units.
• Respond promptly to service calls, including emergency and after-hours callouts.
• Complete daily work reports accurately and on time.
• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and in compliance with company policy and insurance requirements.

Requirements

• Level 2 or Universal EPA Certification (required).
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, electrical components, and refrigeration systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to comply with OSHA, FCC, FAA, and EPA standards.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
• Residency within 60 miles of San Angelo, Texas.
• Availability for after-hours and weekend callouts as needed.
• Capacity to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying ambient temperatures and drive to remote sites.
• Occasional overnight travel (company covers all expenses and per diem).
