Traveling HVAC Installation Technician

Pearce Services seeks a traveling HVAC installation technician to install, service, and repair commercial HVAC cooling units on cell phone towers across the telecom sector. Based in the Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, Indiana area, this role requires 90% travel for up to three weeks at a time and is suited for self-directed individuals committed to learning within the telecom infrastructure space.

Responsibilities

• Install and replace components of commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units
• Perform upgrades on out-of-season equipment
• Conduct performance checks on installed and serviced units
• Complete daily reports accurately and on time
• Drive to remote work sites as assigned

Requirements

• 1+ years of hands-on HVAC maintenance experience (commercial preferred)
• 1+ years of construction experience accepted in lieu of HVAC experience
• Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems
• Experience with wall-mounted MarvAir, Bard, and MarvAir DAC/WAC direct air-cooling units (highly preferred)
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Ability to operate phone, computer, and tablet
• Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and alarms visually and audibly
• Willingness to be on-call and travel during busy summer months
• Capability to comply with FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA standards
• May be required to pass DOT physical
• Residence in Fort Wayne or Indianapolis, Indiana area required
