Solar Sales Representative

Sunrun, the largest dedicated residential solar and storage company in the United States, is hiring Solar Sales Representatives in Sugar Land, TX. This is a direct-sales, commission-based role focused on door-to-door and referral-based customer acquisition in assigned residential territories. You will present solar and battery storage solutions to homeowners, explain financing options, and guide customers through the sales process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage sales activities within an assigned residential territory
• Conduct door-to-door canvassing and follow up on customer referrals
• Present solar and battery storage solutions to homeowners
• Explain financing options and guide customers through the purchase process
• Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, clean energy, and energy independence
• Track and report sales activities and performance metrics
• Attend weekly training sessions to develop sales skills and learn product information

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License, or willingness to obtain it (candidates without the license may be hired initially as a Sales Scheduler at minimum wage, capped at 35 hours/week, and transition to the direct-sales role upon license completion)
• Prior direct sales or commission-based sales experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Able to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions
