Job Description

Sunrun, the largest dedicated residential solar and storage company in the United States, is hiring Solar Sales Representatives for direct door-to-door sales in Queens, NY. This is a commission-based role where you will identify homeowners interested in solar and battery storage solutions, present financing options, and guide them through the sales process. You will manage your own territory, attend weekly training, and have the opportunity to earn uncapped commission based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing and follow up on referrals to connect with residential homeowners in assigned territory
  • Present solar and battery storage solutions to prospective customers, explain financing options, and guide them through the sales process
  • Educate homeowners on the financial and environmental benefits of solar installation and energy independence
  • Track sales activities, monitor pipeline, and meet individual performance targets
  • Attend weekly training meetings to develop sales skills and learn product knowledge

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License required; candidates without the license may be hired initially as a Sales Scheduler at minimum wage (capped at 35 hours/week) and transition to the Solar Sales Direct Seller role upon license completion
  • Direct or commission-based sales experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions
