Solar Sales Representative

Sunrun, the largest residential solar and storage company in the United States, is hiring Solar Sales Representatives for direct door-to-door sales in East Brunswick, NJ. This is a commission-only role where you develop and manage a residential territory, connect with homeowners about solar and battery solutions, and guide customers through the sales and financing process. The position offers uncapped earnings potential with a flexible schedule after an initial training period.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage residential sales territory through door-to-door canvassing, networking, and referral follow-up
• Present solar and energy storage solutions to homeowners, explain financing options, and close sales
• Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar installation, including cost savings, clean energy, and energy independence
• Track sales activities, monitor performance metrics, and meet personal sales goals
• Attend weekly training meetings to develop skills and improve sales performance

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (required before starting as direct seller; candidates without the license may be hired initially as a Sales Scheduler at minimum wage, capped at 35 hours/week, and transition to the Solar Sales Representative role upon obtaining the license)
• Direct or commission-based sales experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions
• Availability for flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
