Job Description
Sunrun, the largest residential solar and storage company in the U.S., is hiring Solar Sales Representatives in Austin, TX. This is a direct-sales, commission-based role focused on acquiring residential customers and closing solar and battery storage contracts. You'll manage your own territory, conduct door-to-door outreach, present financing options, and guide homeowners toward energy independence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage new sales within an assigned residential territory
- Conduct door-to-door prospecting, networking, and follow-up on referrals
- Present solar and battery storage solutions to homeowners, explain financing options, and close contracts
- Track and report sales activities and performance metrics
- Educate customers on cost savings, clean energy benefits, and energy independence
- Attend weekly training sessions to develop sales skills and strategy
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (or willingness to obtain it; candidates without the license may be hired initially as Sales Scheduler at minimum wage, capped at 35 hours/week, and transition to this role upon licensure)
- Direct or commission-based sales experience preferred
- Able to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions
