Job Description

Sunrun, the largest residential solar and storage company in the United States, is hiring a Solar Sales Representative in Concord, CA. This is a direct-sales, commission-based position focused on residential solar and battery system sales. You'll develop territory-specific customer relationships, present solar solutions to homeowners, and guide them through financing options while earning performance-based compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales activities within an assigned residential territory
  • Conduct door-to-door outreach, network with homeowners, and follow up on referrals
  • Present solar and battery storage solutions, explain financing options, and close sales
  • Educate homeowners on cost savings, clean energy benefits, and energy independence
  • Track sales activities, monitor performance metrics, and meet quarterly and annual targets
  • Attend weekly training meetings to develop skills and support career advancement

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (or ability to obtain within hiring period; initial hire as Sales Scheduler at minimum wage, capped 35 hours/week, until license is obtained)
  • Direct or commission-based sales experience preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings and weekends

  • First-year average compensation range: $60,000–$100,000 in California (location and personal performance dependent)
