Job Description

Sunrun, the nation's largest residential solar and battery company, is hiring Solar Sales Representatives for its Fresno South location in California. In this direct-sales role, you'll present solar and storage solutions to homeowners, manage your own territory, and earn commission-based compensation with uncapped earning potential. The position offers flexible scheduling after an initial training period and requires a valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage residential solar sales within an assigned territory through door-to-door outreach and referral follow-up
  • Present solar and battery storage solutions to homeowners, explain financing options, and guide customers through the sales process
  • Educate homeowners on the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy and energy independence
  • Track sales activities and monitor progress toward performance goals
  • Attend weekly training sessions to refine sales techniques and develop career advancement skills

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (required before starting as a direct seller; candidates without the license may be hired as a Sales Scheduler at minimum wage, capped at 35 hours per week, and transition to the direct-seller role upon obtaining the license)
  • Experience in direct sales or commission-based sales preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors, walk for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Benefits

  • 100% commission-based compensation; first-year average in California ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 depending on personal performance; top 10% of new hires earn $205,020 or more annually
  • Uncapped earnings potential; top performers earn $300,000 or more
