Job Description
Sunrun, the nation's largest residential solar and storage company, is hiring Solar Sales Representatives in San Jose, CA. This is a direct-sales, commission-based role focused on selling residential solar and battery storage systems to homeowners. You will manage a territory, conduct door-to-door outreach and referral follow-up, present solar financing options, and guide customers through the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage sales within an assigned residential territory
- Conduct door-to-door outreach and follow up on customer referrals
- Present solar and battery storage solutions to homeowners, including financing options and cost-saving benefits
- Guide customers through the sales process and closing
- Track sales activities and monitor performance against goals
- Attend weekly training meetings to develop sales skills and stay current on product offerings
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License required (or ability to obtain before transitioning to the full Solar Sales Direct Seller role)
- Prior direct sales or commission-based sales experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions
