Job Description

Sunrun, the largest residential solar and battery company in the U.S., is hiring Solar Sales Representatives in Temecula, CA. This is a direct-sales, commission-based role in which you will conduct door-to-door outreach, present solar financing solutions to homeowners, and manage a defined territory. First-year compensation ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 on average, with top performers earning $200,000+. Candidates without a California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License will initially work as a Sales Scheduler at minimum wage (capped at 35 hours/week) until licensure is obtained, then transition to the commission-based Solar Sales Direct Seller role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage residential solar sales within an assigned territory
  • Conduct door-to-door outreach and follow up on referrals to identify prospective homeowners
  • Present solar solutions, explain financing options, and guide customers through the sales process
  • Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar, including cost savings, energy independence, and environmental impact
  • Track sales activities, monitor performance metrics, and work toward quota targets
  • Attend weekly training meetings to develop sales skills and learn about product offerings

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (or willingness to obtain one upon hire)
  • Experience in direct sales or commission-based sales (preferred)
  • Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions
  • Availability for flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
