Job Description
Sunrun, the largest residential solar and battery company in the US, is hiring Solar Sales Representatives in Visalia, CA. This is a direct-sales, commission-based role serving residential homeowners in assigned territories. You'll educate customers on solar energy systems, financing options, and long-term savings while building your own book of business.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage sales activities within an assigned residential territory
- Conduct door-to-door outreach, follow up on referrals, and build customer relationships
- Present solar solutions to homeowners, explain financing structures, and guide customers through the sales process
- Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar, including cost savings, energy independence, and environmental impact
- Track sales activities and monitor progress toward performance goals
- Attend weekly training sessions to develop sales skills and stay current on product knowledge
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (required to work as a direct seller; candidates without the license may be hired as Sales Schedulers at minimum wage, capped at 35 hours/week, and transition to the commission role upon obtaining the license)
- Prior experience in direct sales or commission-based sales preferred
- Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in varying weather conditions
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
