Job Description

Sunrun is hiring a Solar Sales Representative for its Commonwealth Solar office in Massachusetts. This is a direct-sales, commission-based role focused on residential solar sales. You will manage a territory, conduct door-to-door outreach, present solar financing and system options to homeowners, and guide customers through the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage residential solar sales within an assigned territory
  • Conduct door-to-door canvassing, phone follow-ups, and referral outreach to connect with homeowners
  • Present solar system solutions, explain financing options, and guide customers through the sales process
  • Educate homeowners on solar benefits, including cost savings, clean energy, and energy independence
  • Track sales activities and work toward performance goals
  • Attend weekly training meetings to refine sales skills and discuss performance

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Valid Massachusetts Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (or equivalent state certification); if you do not yet hold this license, you may be hired as a Sales Scheduler at minimum wage, capped at 35 hours per week, and transition to the full commission role upon obtaining the license
  • Prior experience in direct sales or commission-based sales preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
