Job Description

Sunrun, the largest residential solar and battery company in the United States, is hiring Solar Sales Representatives for our Billerica, MA territory. This is a commission-based direct sales role focused on residential solar installations, where you will develop a customer base, present solar financing solutions, and guide homeowners through the transition to clean energy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales within an assigned residential territory
  • Conduct door-to-door outreach, network with homeowners, and follow up on referrals
  • Present residential solar PV system solutions and financing options to potential customers
  • Educate homeowners on the financial, environmental, and energy independence benefits of solar adoption
  • Track sales activities and monitor performance against targets
  • Attend weekly training sessions to develop sales skills and stay current with product knowledge

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (or willingness to obtain within the first months of employment, during which time you would work as a Sales Scheduler at minimum wage, capped at 35 hours/week, until license acquisition)
  • Prior experience in direct sales or commission-based roles preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions
