Job Description

Sunrun, the largest residential solar and battery company in the United States, is hiring Solar Sales Representatives in Rocky Hill, CT. In this direct-sales role, you'll work a flexible schedule to identify residential customers, present solar financing options, and guide homeowners through the purchasing process—with compensation structured entirely on commission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales activity within an assigned residential territory
  • Conduct door-to-door outreach and follow up on customer referrals to generate leads
  • Present solar solutions to homeowners, explain available financing options, and close sales
  • Educate customers on the financial, environmental, and energy-independence benefits of residential solar
  • Track sales activity and monitor performance against individual sales goals
  • Attend weekly training meetings to develop sales techniques and stay current with product offerings

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License (required before transitioning to the commission-based Solar Sales Direct Seller role)
  • Prior direct sales or commission-based sales experience preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors and walk extended distances in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
