Job Description

Rosendin Electric, one of the largest renewable energy EPCs in the United States, seeks a Senior Project Manager for its RREG Projects office in Texas. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar, BESS, substation, wind, or distributed generation projects—managing scope, budget, schedule, and financial performance while leading a team of project managers and assistant project managers. You will engage with clients, permitting authorities, landowners, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects that span civil work, electrical systems, SCADA, structural design, and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Direct overall project execution, budget management, and financial outcomes for multiple small-to-medium BESS, substation, wind, and DG projects, or single large utility-scale solar projects
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers and assistant project managers
  • Manage comprehensive EPC scopes including civil, environmental, SWPPP, SPCC, mechanical, structural, substation, medium-voltage collections, DC collections, BESS, and SCADA systems
  • Obtain permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal authority jurisdictional requirements and building codes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, community leaders, emergency services, and local businesses throughout construction
  • Build and sustain client relationships to understand project goals, objectives, and requirements
  • Coordinate with design partners to shepherd design from inception through IFC (Issued for Construction), identifying value-engineering options across all scopes
  • Manage substation design, procurement, and construction per SGIA requirements
  • Identify private and public utility locations and file or negotiate crossing agreements
  • Coordinate resource management for water, sewer, electrical service, security, medical services, and internet at project office compounds
  • Develop site compound, laydown yard, and logistics plans with the logistics superintendent
  • Oversee civil design and construction, including grading, site balancing, trenching, pads, roadways, and stormwater management
  • Manage structural design, materials, and construction sequencing, including wind loads, snow loads, pile types, tracker systems, module types, and concrete pads
  • Direct electrical design, materials, and construction sequencing for HV, MV, LV, AC/DC power systems, and voltage-drop analysis
  • Manage SCADA, metering, utility requirements, ROC, control buildings, and NERC/FERC compliance
  • Oversee security fence design and construction in compliance with local, state, federal, NERC, and FERC requirements
  • Manage O&M building design and construction, including plumbing, HVAC, foundation, and structural elements
  • Lead closeout, testing, and commissioning processes, including CMT, capacity and availability tests, infrared scans, hot and cold commissioning of inverters, harmonics studies, and VLF testing
  • Allocate personnel, equipment, and materials to optimize project efficiency and performance
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to the project management team
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and implement continuous improvement strategies
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
  • Implement QA/QC processes to ensure deliverables meet specifications and standards
  • Enforce adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance
  • Manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget with proper documentation and stakeholder communication
  • Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and project documentation to senior management and stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes and methodologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience, preferably within the EPC industry
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office Suite)
  • Experience mentoring and managing teams
  • Business development and heavy client interaction experience preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 100% to remote, non-urban project sites; commutes may exceed 1 hour each direction
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, type, carry, push, and bend
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions including indoor office settings and jobsites with low-to-medium to loud noise levels

Benefits

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • 401(k) plan
  • Annual performance and profitability bonus
  • 17 PTO days per year plus 10 paid holidays
  • 3 days paid sick leave annually
  • 3 days paid bereavement leave annually
  • 3 days paid jury duty leave
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Term life, AD&D, and voluntary life insurance
  • Disability income protection insurance
