Electrical Estimator

Rosendin Electric seeks an Electrical Estimator to join its Tempe, AZ office. This entry-level, salaried position supports the preparation of bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects under the guidance of senior-level estimators. You will work on small to medium projects, learning established estimating procedures and contributing to timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and estimate contents
• Perform complete takeoff calculations and enter data into the computer estimating system
• Review estimate printouts for accuracy and completeness
• Solicit and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with senior estimators to prepare detailed scope reviews, technical requirements, and pricing analysis for bid packages
• Draft scope letters documenting inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications using existing templates
• Maintain files and documentation supporting estimating assumptions and methodologies
• Support timely completion of all client-required deliverables

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• 0–2 years of estimating experience in commercial construction, preferably electrical
• Basic experience or exposure with Accubid estimating software
• Ability to read and interpret engineering design drawings, specifications, and front-end documents
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Competency in performing arithmetic calculations required for estimating
• Ability to interpret computerized cost data and electrical systems
• Capability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, type, carry, push, and bend
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs
• Up to 10% travel
