Job Description

SOLV Energy, a major provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, is hiring an EPC Assistant Project Manager to support utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. This full-time position is based on-site in San Antonio, TX and includes travel to project locations; specific details will be discussed during the interview process. You will work alongside the Project Manager to oversee construction administration, cost control, scheduling, and procurement across utility-scale solar and energy storage installations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Project Engineer-level duties as assigned
  • Maintain cost control ledger and prepare job cost statements
  • Prepare billings and expedite payment processing
  • Estimate, prepare, and negotiate Change Orders
  • Write and manage subcontract Change Orders
  • Set up and maintain CMiC project management system records
  • Prepare bid packages, solicit bids, and evaluate subcontractor responses
  • Review project plans for completeness and technical accuracy
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and Rental Agreements
  • Supervise and train Project Engineers and clerical staff
  • Develop and document project procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent hands-on construction experience
  • 3–4 years of construction project experience
  • 1+ years of scheduling and estimating experience
  • Field experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent
  • Proficiency with plans, specifications, and construction documents
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Salary: $97,767–$122,209 annually
