Job Description

SOLV Energy seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a utility-scale solar project in Tonopah, AZ. You will work full-time on the jobsite, assisting the Project Manager with construction administration, cost control, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor coordination. Travel may be required; specific details will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Project Engineer duties as needed
  • Maintain cost control ledgers and job cost statements
  • Prepare billings and expedite payments
  • Estimate, prepare, and negotiate Change Orders
  • Write subcontract Change Orders
  • Set up and maintain CMiC system records and documentation
  • Prepare bid packages and solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids
  • Write project procedures and standards
  • Review plans for completeness and accuracy
  • Prepare Purchase Orders and Rental Agreements
  • Supervise and train Project Engineers and clerical staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent field experience
  • Minimum 3–4 years of construction experience
  • Minimum 1+ years of scheduling and estimating experience
  • Field experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent
  • Thorough understanding of construction plans and specifications
  • Proficiency with CMiC project management software
