Job Description

SOLV Energy, a major infrastructure services provider for utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high-voltage substation projects, seeks an EPC Regional Manager to oversee construction operations across the Western region (CA, NV, WA). Based in or near San Diego, CA, this hybrid role demands regional oversight of multiple concurrent projects, project management staff supervision, and accountability for P&L and business plan alignment. Travel throughout the West Region is required; specific location and remote arrangements will be finalized during the interview.

Responsibilities

  • Direct execution of utility-scale solar and battery storage construction projects to meet timeline, budget, and quality standards
  • Monitor ongoing project progress, identify delays or cost overruns, and implement corrective actions
  • Supervise and mentor project managers, site supervisors, and field construction staff across the region
  • Establish and maintain direct client relationships; serve as primary regional contact for client concerns, satisfaction, and contract development
  • Meet in person with clients to secure new work, strengthen existing partnerships, and resolve project issues
  • Develop and manage project budgets; track spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain alignment with financial forecasts
  • Oversee regional P&L performance and profitability against business plan targets
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards across all projects
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and risk mitigation strategies
  • Prepare regular reports on project status, financial metrics, and operational performance
  • Coordinate with unions and manage Project Labor Agreements; align union assignments with project requirements and resolve workforce-related challenges
  • Develop and execute union coordination strategies prior to construction mobilization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in utility-scale PV solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) construction
  • Minimum 5 years of construction project management, with proven experience in leadership roles
  • Working knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Experience managing budgets and financial forecasting on construction projects
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating union labor and Project Labor Agreements
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the West Region
  • Preferred: experience with projects on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land
  • Preferred: advanced certifications or degrees in construction or engineering disciplines

Compensation: $194,600–$243,250 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
