Job Description
SOLV Energy seeks a Senior Project Controls Scheduler to develop and maintain integrated EPC schedules for utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high-voltage projects across all phases from business development through execution. This fully remote role requires collaboration across multiple business units (PV, BESS, high-voltage, and services), mentorship of junior schedulers, and periodic jobsite visits to understand project means and methods.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain realistic EPC project schedules using P6 software, incorporating contract documents, drawings, and quantity take-offs
- Lead and mentor assigned schedulers, supporting their professional development and training
- Analyze project documents and perform quantity take-offs to establish accurate activity durations and schedule logic
- Consult with internal teams (engineering, procurement, project management, field) and external stakeholders (owners, consultants) to gather feedback and enhance schedule accuracy
- Ensure schedules adhere to Critical Path Method (CPM) best practices with sound logic and realistic durations
- Attend weekly coordination and owner meetings to gather updates and address schedule issues
- Update schedules bi-monthly, incorporating actuals and monitoring critical path deviations
- Propose corrective actions based on schedule analysis and communicate updates to project teams and scheduling manager
- Perform what-if analysis for changing conditions across integrated multiple schedules
- Lead internal and external meetings to analyze project scopes and propose schedule mitigation solutions
- Maintain comprehensive delay logs and contract information, including liquidated damages exposure, with custom P6 reports
- Monitor progress using company software (Sunscreen) and confirm against schedule updates
- Maintain and communicate weekly regional project status reports
- Visit jobsites to build rapport and understand site-specific scheduling details
- Train personnel in scheduling procedures and support business development in analyzing and improving project schedules
- Maintain P6 database integrity, including project/activity codes, file management, comments, and notebooks
- Contribute to training curriculum development for company-wide schedule management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of construction scheduling experience
- Prior scheduling experience in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) environment
- High proficiency and hands-on experience with P6 software
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods and processes
- Solid understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles
- Strong proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel to jobsites as needed
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship

Compensation: $117,840–$147,300 annually
