Based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will support utility-scale BESS EPC projects from early preconstruction through contract execution, working across proposal coordination, scheduling, permitting, budgeting, and client management. This role is designed as a developmental pathway toward full Project Manager responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reusable proposal content libraries, templates, and pricing assumptions
  • Support development and review of baseline schedules, drawing logs, general conditions estimates, and proposal exhibits
  • Coordinate project due diligence activities including site assessments, geotechnical reports, and utility locates
  • Maintain documentation including RFI logs, preconstruction budget logs, exhibit trackers, and proposal submittals
  • Facilitate and document Owner coordination meetings during preconstruction; escalate issues to the Project Manager as needed
  • Prepare and distribute weekly internal and external progress reports summarizing open items and risks
  • Assist in development and review of Limited Notices to Proceed, Early Works Agreements, and Owner contract exhibits
  • Perform preliminary cash flow analysis tracking schedule implications, early deposits, and procurement lead times
  • Support permitting timelines, submittal requirements, and agency communications
  • Coordinate procurement and resource acquisition aligned with project milestones
  • Manage 1–2 preconstruction Project Engineers as experience grows
  • Interface directly with clients and stakeholders to clarify deliverables and respond to technical questions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, business, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in utility-scale solar EPC or related preconstruction/project support roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic technical knowledge of utility-scale BESS plant design, performance modeling, and construction
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • BESS experience preferred
  • Field experience preferred
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Primavera P6, BlueBeam, or estimating software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid) preferred
  • MBA or technical graduate studies preferred
  • Willingness to relocate to South Florida preferred

Benefits

  • Full-time, exempt, salaried position
  • Reports to Director of Preconstruction Management
  • Clear advancement pathway to Project Manager and senior leadership roles
