Job Description

Moss Construction, a nationally ranked solar EPC and construction management firm, is hiring a BESS Senior Electrical Superintendent to oversee field execution and team leadership across multiple utility-scale solar and battery storage projects in Florida. This role combines hands-on electrical field expertise with supervisory and program-level responsibility, reporting to the Vice President of Electrical Field Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, organize, and direct construction of utility-scale solar and BESS projects; manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Direct all field execution and supervise company forces and subcontractors across electrical work
  • Supervise and mentor multiple Superintendents; manage performance reviews and onboarding of salaried personnel
  • Coordinate resource planning, procurement, and engineering schedules at the program level
  • Interface directly with project owners and support Project Management team in subcontract negotiations
  • Create, enforce, and distribute best practices for electrical field operations
  • Develop and monitor safety and quality control initiatives and compliance across all work
  • Oversee internal design review, coordinate with pre-construction for site visits, and support front-end design involvement
  • Manage budget and schedule reporting; track project completion and closeout coordination
  • Assist with scheduling and managing shared resources across the project portfolio
  • Perform project estimates for upcoming work

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years as General Superintendent on utility-scale solar or BESS projects
  • Journeyman or Master's electrical license (NASCLA or equivalent demonstration of electrical best practices proficiency); or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • STS-C Certification (minimum); or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Proven experience managing multiple direct reports and leading project teams
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach regularly
  • Capacity to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds; occasional handling of heavier loads with assistance
  • Willingness to work in outdoor and indoor environments with exposure to varying weather, moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, loud noise, and extreme temperatures
  • Frequent travel required
