Field Maintenance Technician, Entry Level

Pearce Services is hiring a Field Maintenance Technician (entry level) based in Cincinnati, Ohio to support maintenance and repairs across critical infrastructure and renewable energy sites, including commercial solar farms and battery energy storage facilities. This position involves a 100% travel requirement on a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule, with some onsite work in the Cincinnati area. You will work alongside experienced technicians performing hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment
• Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization
• Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and follow company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or a related field, or completion of a trade school program
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors
• Ability to operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts when required
• Willingness and ability to travel 100% following Pearce's 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule
• Must reside in Cincinnati, Ohio for onsite work requirements
