Job Description

Pearce Services seeks a Field Maintenance Technician (entry level) based in Phoenix, Arizona to support maintenance and repair operations across commercial solar farms, battery energy storage facilities, and critical infrastructure sites. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment, assisting experienced technicians in the field, and contributing to warehouse and shop operations. The position requires 100% travel on a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
  • Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment as needed
  • Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization
  • Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and follow company safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or related field; or completion of a trade school program
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
  • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts when required
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% following 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule
  • Work in warehouses, shops, industrial facilities, commercial solar sites, battery energy storage facilities, and customer locations in both indoor and outdoor environments
