Pearce Services seeks an Entry Level Field Maintenance Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina to support asset management and maintenance operations across renewable energy sites, battery energy storage facilities, and critical infrastructure. This role involves a rotating schedule of six weeks on-site followed by one week off, with 100% travel required; you'll work alongside experienced technicians and contribute to warehouse, fleet, and field operations across commercial solar and battery storage projects.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues safely and efficiently
Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and related equipment
Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations including equipment maintenance and organization
Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar farms and battery energy storage sites
Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely
Document completed work accurately and adhere to company safety procedures
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments
Requirements
One year of hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or related field, or completion of a trade school program
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors
Proficiency with hand and power tools including drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts when required
Willingness and ability to travel 100% following a six weeks on, one week off rotational schedule
