Field Maintenance Technician, Entry Level

Pearce Services is seeking an entry-level Field Maintenance Technician in Worcester, Massachusetts to support maintenance and repairs across renewable energy sites, battery storage facilities, and critical infrastructure. You'll work in warehouses, shops, and field locations performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment, and assisting experienced technicians. This position requires 100% travel on a rotating 6 weeks on, 1 week off schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues safely and efficiently
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and associated equipment
• Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations including equipment maintenance and organization
• Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar farms and battery energy storage sites
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely
• Document completed work accurately and adhere to company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

• 1 year of hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial work, or equivalent trade school completion
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
• Proficiency with hand and power tools including drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
• Capability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts when required
• Willingness and ability to travel 100% of time following a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule
• Residence in Worcester, Massachusetts for onsite work
