Job Description

Pearce Services seeks an entry-level Field Maintenance Technician to support operations and maintenance across renewable energy sites, battery storage facilities, and critical infrastructure in the Dallas, Texas area. This position involves hands-on mechanical and electrical work, with a 100% travel requirement following a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule. You'll work alongside experienced technicians at commercial solar farms, battery energy storage sites, and in warehouse and shop environments, building skills in solar maintenance, power systems, and critical infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues safely and efficiently
  • Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
  • Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and related equipment
  • Assist with warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization
  • Work alongside experienced field technicians on maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely
  • Document completed work accurately and adhere to company safety procedures
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments

Requirements

  • One year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or related field, or completion of a trade school program
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and work safely at heights of 6–30 feet
  • Capability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools including drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
  • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts as required
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% and work a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule
  • Work in warehouses, shops, industrial facilities, commercial solar sites, battery storage facilities, and outdoor customer locations in both indoor and outdoor environments
