Field Maintenance Technician, Entry Level

Pearce Services seeks an entry-level Field Maintenance Technician based in Stockton, California, to support maintenance and repair operations across renewable energy sites, battery storage facilities, and critical infrastructure. This role involves a 6-weeks-on, 1-week-off travel rotation, working alongside experienced technicians to perform equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems at commercial solar farms, battery energy storage sites, and company facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment as needed
• Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization
• Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and follow company safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or related field, or completion of a trade school program
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors
• Proficiency with hand and power tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts when required
• Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time following a 6-weeks-on, 1-week-off rotation schedule
• Residence in or relocation to Stockton, California for onsite work
