Pearce Services seeks an entry-level Field Maintenance Technician to support operations and maintenance across renewable energy sites, battery storage facilities, and critical infrastructure locations. Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, you will work on a rotational schedule (6 weeks on, 1 week off) performing hands-on maintenance, repairs, and installations at commercial solar farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), warehouses, and customer facilities throughout North America.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
Troubleshoot equipment and systems to diagnose issues and execute repairs safely and efficiently
Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime
Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and related infrastructure
Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and inventory organization
Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment including forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes
Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and adhere to company safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements
1 year of hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial operations, or related field (or completion of a trade school program)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and work on concrete floors
Proficiency with hand and power tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
Willingness and ability to travel 100% following a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule
Residence in or willingness to relocate to Wilmington, North Carolina for onsite work
