Job Description

Pearce Services seeks an entry-level Field Maintenance Technician to support operations and maintenance across renewable energy sites, battery storage facilities, and critical infrastructure locations. Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, you will work on a rotational schedule (6 weeks on, 1 week off) performing hands-on maintenance, repairs, and installations at commercial solar farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), warehouses, and customer facilities throughout North America.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems to diagnose issues and execute repairs safely and efficiently
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and related infrastructure
  • Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and inventory organization
  • Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment including forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and adhere to company safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

  • 1 year of hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial operations, or related field (or completion of a trade school program)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and work on concrete floors
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% following a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to Wilmington, North Carolina for onsite work
