Job Description

Pearce Services is seeking an entry-level Field Maintenance Technician for its Raleigh, North Carolina location. In this role, you will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment at warehouses, shops, commercial solar farms, and battery energy storage facilities across the region. The position involves 100% travel on a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule, with primary residency required in Raleigh.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
  • Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and other equipment as needed
  • Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization
  • Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and follow company safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements

  • 1 year of hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial work, or related field; or completion of a trade school program
  • Mechanical aptitude and foundational interest in electrical systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs occasionally
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools including drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
  • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts when required
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% of the time on Pearce's 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule
  • Valid driver's license and ability to reside in Raleigh, North Carolina
