Job Description

Pearce Services, a leading asset management provider for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure across North America, is hiring a Field Maintenance Technician in Miami, Florida. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in maintenance and repair across renewable energy sites, battery storage facilities, and critical infrastructure. You'll work a rotational schedule (6 weeks on, 1 week off) with 100% travel requirements, supporting both warehouse operations and experienced field technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues safely and efficiently
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
  • Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and related equipment
  • Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations, including equipment maintenance and organization
  • Assist experienced field technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely
  • Document completed work accurately and follow all company safety procedures
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments

Requirements

  • 1 year of hands-on experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or related field; or completion of a trade school program
  • Mechanical aptitude and foundational interest in electrical systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally move up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools including drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools
  • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts when required
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% following a 6-weeks-on, 1-week-off rotational schedule
  • Residency in Miami, Florida for onsite work
