Job Description

Pearce Services is hiring a Field Maintenance Technician, Entry Level, based in Orlando, Florida. The position supports maintenance and repair work at commercial solar farms and battery energy storage sites, as well as warehouse, fleet, and shop operations. This role requires 100% travel on a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in equipment and systems through safe and efficient repairs.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, supports, shelving, and related equipment.
  • Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations including equipment maintenance and organization.
  • Assist experienced technicians with maintenance and repairs at commercial solar farms and battery energy storage sites.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
  • Document completed work accurately and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Keep the work environment clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or a related field preferred, or completion of a trade school program.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 100% of the time on a 6 weeks on, 1 week off rotational schedule.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and working on concrete floors.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6–30 feet.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and measuring tools.
  • Ability to operate equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts.
