Job Description

Pearce Services, a technology-enabled asset management provider for mission-critical electromechanical infrastructure across North America, is hiring an OSP Inspector to work in the Butte, Montana area. In this role, you will conduct field inspections of underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities, verify compliance with regulatory and client standards, and document findings to support network reliability and safe construction practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform field inspections and audits of underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities to verify compliance with current standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct wooden pole ground line inspections and pole transfers.
  • Document inspection findings, audits, and corrective actions using electronic systems and printed spreadsheets.
  • Use mapping and GPS technology to locate and verify plant infrastructure.
  • Communicate with client management, vendors, and construction crews via email and phone to coordinate work and resolve issues.
  • Travel to field sites as needed, including some overnight stays; mileage reimbursed per company policy.
  • Maintain records of all inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Previous experience performing NESC inspections or working on an aerial cable line crew.
  • Experience conducting wooden pole ground line inspections.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and OSP Construction Standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with mapping tools such as Microsoft MapPoint (preferred).
  • Comfort with internet use and web-based applications.
  • Experience managing construction contractors in the field.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel on short notice.
  • Residency within one hour of Butte or surrounding area.
