Job Description

Enphase Energy seeks a Field Service Technician for a six-month temporary assignment based in Los Angeles, CA. The position provides on-site support to distribution and installation partners for PV and storage systems. Regular travel of up to 50 percent is required, including out-of-state trips, overnight stays, and extended assignments of up to two consecutive weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Service Enphase PV and storage systems within the assigned territory
  • Coordinate site visits with the scheduling team and homeowners
  • Perform onsite testing and diagnostics to evaluate system performance
  • Conduct work on rooftops and elevated structures
  • Complete solar maintenance reports and documentation
  • Perform microinverter maintenance and update the Enlighten monitoring system
  • Use standard field tools including drills, levels, squares, tape measures, and ladders
  • Install and route conduit, copper piping, flexible tubing, and wiring
  • Participate in safety training and follow all company safety protocols
  • Maintain tool inventory according to management standards
  • Follow OSHA safety standards on all job sites
  • Train and mentor team members on installation techniques
  • Review system designs and develop job-specific bills of materials
  • Meet domestic travel requirements including valid identification for air travel

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of experience in electrical installation and service
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record and insurability
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to read and interpret plan sets
  • Commercial or residential electrical license
  • NABCEP certification
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 60 pounds of tools and equipment
  • Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and reaching
  • Safe operation of hand and power tools
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Ascend and descend ladders as required
  • Work on rooftops, uneven surfaces, heights, and confined spaces
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions with potential exposure to electrical hazards
