Field Service Technician - New Jersey, NJ

Enphase Energy seeks a Field Service Technician based in New Jersey, NJ. The position provides on-site technical support for the company's PV and battery storage systems to distribution and installation partners. The role involves up to 50% domestic travel, including out-of-state trips, overnight stays, and assignments lasting up to two consecutive weeks.

Responsibilities

• Service Enphase PV and storage systems in the assigned territory.
• Coordinate site visits with the scheduling team and system owners.
• Conduct onsite testing and diagnostics to assess system performance and isolate issues.
• Perform work on rooftops and elevated structures.
• Complete solar maintenance reports and documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Perform microinverter maintenance and update the Enlighten monitoring system.
• Use standard field tools such as drills, levels, squares, tape measures, and ladders.
• Install and route conduit, copper piping, flexible tubing, and wiring.
• Participate in safety training and follow all company safety protocols.
• Maintain tool inventory according to company standards.
• Follow OSHA safety standards on all job sites.
• Train and mentor team members on installation techniques.
• Review system designs and prepare job-specific bills of materials.
• Meet domestic travel requirements, including valid identification for air travel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical installation and service.
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record and insurability.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret plan sets.
• Commercial or residential electrical license.
• NABCEP certification.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 60 pounds of tools and equipment.
• Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and reaching.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders.
• Ability to work on rooftops, uneven surfaces, at heights, and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around electrical hazards.
