Solar O&M BESS Technician (Operations and Maintenance)

Pearce Services seeks a Solar Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician for its Renewables Operations and Maintenance division. Based in Mojave, California, you will perform operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting work on commercial and industrial solar and battery storage installations. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Mojave.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment
• Execute Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures as an authorized person under proper LOTO conditions
• Conduct daily safety and task planning, including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs)
• Interact professionally with vendors and customers
• Support site work as a team member, potentially including field supervision focused on safety, quality, and efficiency

Requirements

• 1–4+ years of hands-on electrical experience with electrical systems and components
• Valid driver's license held for at least one year
• Ability to comply with OSHA Standards
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and work in ergonomically challenging positions
• Capacity to work in varied climates and possible rotating shifts
• OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or NFPA 70E certification preferred
• 1–4+ years of renewable energy experience preferred
• Post-secondary education preferred
