Journeyman Electrician

Sunrun seeks a Journeyman Electrician to serve as Electrical Foreperson in Georgetown, TX. The position leads a crew of 3 to 6 members on residential and small commercial solar installation projects while overseeing safety, quality, customer service, and productivity. The role includes 5% travel and starts at a wage of $33.55 to $44.73 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Organize, lead, and train crew members to complete residential solar projects within established guidelines and timeframes
• Manage all aspects of construction workflow to drive productivity and ensure adequate materials and equipment for safe, efficient completion
• Maintain project documentation and photo requirements
• Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards for photovoltaic installations and enforce safety practices
• Check installer progress hourly throughout each installation
• Follow Construction Job Flow Procedures
• Analyze and resolve worker problems and recommend solutions
• Maintain consistent customer interface throughout the construction phase
• Perform weekly vehicle inspections for tire pressure, oil level, and working lights
• Obtain customer payments and deliver them to management
• Ensure accuracy of personal and crew timesheets
• Provide constructability feedback to management
• Perform service calls when necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Journeyman License or Electrician Certification meeting local and state requirements, such as a wireman license
• Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards, with an up-to-date NEC code book carried at all times
• Ability to perform all installation duties of Installer and Lead Installer positions
• Current CPR and First Aid Certifications, maintained throughout employment
• Physically capable of performing work duties including transport of materials and equipment up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces requiring frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
• Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces requiring kneeling and crouching
• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environments, and humidity
• Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills including fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching
• Ability to work within the safe range of ladders, fall protection harnesses, and other personal protective equipment
• Ability to work while wearing heavy protective equipment such as arc flash suits, gloves, and face shields
• Ability to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of height, in the sun, and in low light conditions
• Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage
• Ability to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white, and green
• Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings
• Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protection
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience with electrical work involving wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC
• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
