Desert Pine BESS- Laborer (Non-Driver)

The Laborer (Non-Driver) role at Primoris supports construction and maintenance activities at the Desert Pine BESS project site in Texas. Primary duties center on manual labor and material handling to sustain safe site operations. This position falls under Primoris Renewable Energy, which handles utility-scale energy storage and solar projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and relocating materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist electricians, carpenters, pipefitters, and other skilled trades with assigned tasks.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of waste and debris.
• Load and unload materials and supplies from delivery vehicles.
• Use basic hand and power tools under direct supervision.
• Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators to support safe site movement.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including required PPE use.
• Take part in pre-task planning sessions and safety meetings.
• Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors or foremen.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in construction or industrial settings is a plus.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Physical stamina to complete strenuous tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime as required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid state-issued ID or passport required.
• Reliable transportation to and from the Desert Pine BESS project site.
