Job Description

Venture Solar is hiring a Site Surveyor for our Cherry Hill Township, NJ operations. This position involves traveling to residential and commercial solar installation sites to conduct roof surveys, structural assessments, and electrical evaluations that feed directly into our engineering team's design process.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to solar installation sites throughout the service area
  • Climb ladders up to 32 feet and access rooftops to measure all roof facets and orientations
  • Enter attics and confined spaces to collect structural measurements and assess installation feasibility
  • Perform visual structural inspections of roof systems and mounting surfaces
  • Test electrical panel voltage and document panel specifications
  • Identify potential safety hazards and structural concerns at each site
  • Complete detailed site documentation and transmit findings and photos to the engineering team
  • Conduct equipment safety checks and report malfunctioning tools

Requirements

  • Prior site survey or solar survey experience
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds regularly
  • Comfort working at heights and on pitched roofs
  • Comfortable working in or around electrical panels
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to work Saturdays
  • Must pass company safety training before start date
  • Ability to wear and use appropriate PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves

Benefits

  • Full-time position, 40+ hours per week
  • Overtime pay for hours exceeding 40 per week
  • $20–$25 per hour based on experience
