Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Solar.com is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for a fully remote position. The role centers on developing the platform that guides homeowners through solar adoption, including quote generation, financing calculations, and related user interfaces. Work occurs on a small team with continuous production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, ship, and iterate on end-to-end features for the homeowner funnel, dashboard, and marketing surfaces.
• Work across a TypeScript stack including Next.js, React, Node, and Postgres/Supabase.
• Integrate third-party data sources and APIs for mapping, solar irradiance, pricing, and financing into reliable user experiences.
• Address performance, accessibility, and functional correctness in homeowner-facing interfaces.
• Contribute to engineering standards and mentor team members as the group expands.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications.
• Deep experience with TypeScript and React; Next.js experience is a plus.
• Ability to own backend tasks including APIs, data modeling, and relational databases.
• Proven record of independent shipping and product-oriented decision making.
• Strong written communication skills for asynchronous work on a distributed team.
• Experience in solar, energy, fintech, or other data-heavy consumer domains is a plus.
• Familiarity with Supabase, Vercel, or serverless architectures is a plus.
