Job Description

This is a Solar Sales Representative role with Sunrun in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The position is a direct seller, commission-only opportunity focused on residential solar sales. Candidates without the required license begin as Sales Schedulers at minimum wage for up to 35 hours per week before transitioning to the full role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales within a designated residential territory
  • Knock on doors, network, and follow up on referrals to connect with homeowners
  • Monitor sales activities and meet performance goals
  • Present solar solutions to homeowners, explain financing options, and guide customers through the sales process
  • Educate homeowners on solar benefits including cost savings, clean energy, and energy independence
  • Attend weekly training meetings

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Preferred experience in direct or commission-based sales
  • Must hold a valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License; candidates without the license are initially hired as Sales Schedulers at minimum wage capped at 35 hours per week and transition upon obtaining the license
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions

Benefits

  • Commission-only compensation with average earnings of $60,000 to $100,000 per year and top 10% of new hires averaging $205,020; first-year average in California ranges from $60,000 to $90,000 depending on personal performance
