Job Description

Sunrun is hiring a Solar Sales Representative for residential solar and battery storage in Palmdale, CA. This is a direct seller, commission-only position focused on territory sales in residential areas. The role requires a valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License; candidates without the license start as Sales Schedulers at minimum wage capped at 35 hours per week before transitioning to the full commission role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sales territory in assigned residential areas
  • Knock doors, network, and follow up on referrals to connect with homeowners
  • Monitor sales activities and hit performance goals
  • Present solar and battery storage solutions to homeowners, explain financing options, and guide customers through the process
  • Educate homeowners on cost savings, clean energy, and energy independence benefits
  • Attend weekly training meetings

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Experience in direct or commission-based sales preferred
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work outdoors and walk for extended periods in various weather conditions
  • Valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License, or ability to obtain it prior to transitioning from Sales Scheduler role
