Job Description

The OSP Inspector role at Pearce Services is located in Port St. Lucie, FL. Pearce delivers technical maintenance, repair, operations, and engineering services for electromechanical infrastructure across renewable energy, telecom, and data center markets as a wholly owned subsidiary of CBRE Group, Inc. Candidates must reside within one hour of Port St. Lucie or the surrounding area, with travel to field sites and some overnight stays required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all client underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities comply with current standards through field inspections and verification of contractor work.
  • Perform audits, inspections, and pole transfers; document findings electronically and manually using printed spreadsheets when needed.
  • Utilize mapping/GPS technology to locate and verify plant infrastructure.
  • Interface with construction crews, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met.
  • Maintain records of all inspections, audits, and corrective actions performed.
  • Travel to field sites as needed, with mileage reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

Requirements

  • Previous experience performing NESC inspections or working on an aerial cable line crew.
  • Experience conducting wooden pole ground line inspections.
  • Proficiency in OSP Construction Standards and working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with mapping tools such as Microsoft MapPoint (preferred, not required).
  • Comfortable with internet use and web-based applications.
  • Experience in managing construction contractors in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel on short notice.

  • Base pay range of $28–$32 USD per hour, with actual compensation influenced by skill set, experience, and location.
